Contraception

NHS contraception advice and supply, including emergency contraception. Confidential consultations available.

Pharmacy One offers confidential contraception advice and supply as part of the NHS Contraception Service. Our pharmacist can discuss your options, supply certain methods directly, and refer you onward where a different method may be more suitable.

Emergency contraception is available at the pharmacy without a prescription. The emergency contraceptive pill is effective for up to 72 hours after unprotected sex, with best results when taken as soon as possible. Please come in straight away during opening hours and ask to speak to a pharmacist. No appointment is needed for emergency contraception.

For ongoing contraception, a brief booked consultation allows us to review your situation properly. We provide advice in a private consultation room, so your visit is confidential. Call us on 0161 437 2634 or book online.

Who it's for

Women and men seeking contraception advice or supply. Emergency contraception is available to women of childbearing age. Eligibility for ongoing contraception is assessed at the consultation.
